You're absolutely right. Mikoto winning the Necklace threw me for a loop there, but she was 2nd in the match.

Well my stats didn't do very well in predicting match results so don't take these numbers too seriously. They should give a general idea of where the characters stands in relation to each other. Based on my stats, the character that improved the most since the start of Aquamarine is Kuroneko. That's not too surprising considering the recent Ore no Imouto OVA episodes that started coming out near the end of preliminaries. The second biggest improvement went to Asahina Mikuru. It's more of a return to former strength than a boost in power. I think I was just too harsh on her for her lacking performances in the Seeding Rounds. You see how Kanade started way ahead of everyone else in my initial stats? You see how she's even further ahead in my post Aquamarine 7 stats? It's just unreal how insanely powerful Kanade is. She could be massively overrated in my stats and still smack everyone else around with ease. Considering her necklace showdown performance which isn't taken into account in my stats, she really does look way ahead of everyone else. Other characters that seemed to improve by quite are Nadeko, Yami, Yuri, Hitagi and Nagisa.

In terms of characters that weren't as strong as I thought, Houki and Charlotte from Infinite Stratos take the top 2 spots. This is perhaps not too unexpected with their series ending for now. I had Houki as being ahead of the non-Charlotte IS characters but it seems like all three of them are about equal in strength. Charlotte's expectations may have just been too high to start with. Perhaps also victims of their current anime series ending, Seraphim and Last Order don't look as good as they used to. Last Order seems to be a bit behind Index now rather than a bit ahead. Seraphim has also fallen from roughly being Haruna's equal. The last character to take a fair sized drop is Akiyama Mio. I guess winning a Tiara does produce a sizable hit to your strength. There are now a few characters that look like they can beat Mio. Hirasawa Yui and Tōsaka Rin were two other characters that seemed to fall since Preliminaries.
