I'm going to have to disallow it.
You might say it's just the 8th round pick- but allowing you to do so will set a precedent that can turn into a mess.
For example, what if someone wants to swap their first/second round pick (Azusa/Mio/Hinagiku)...who would get priority for claiming them once they become 'free'?


Your only option is to see if any of the remaining people with 8th round picks left are willing to take your 8th round pick and make a trade for their free pick.

What are the rules on drafting "pets"?

Hard to give exact rules on this, as a certain type may be a pet in one anime- but not one for another anime. Use your common judgement and it'll go with a case by case basis.

Two questions:
- What if it's a human pet?
- What if it's a half human/half animal?
So basically what do you mean with 'pet'? :p

That's why I'm going on a case by case basis, since it possible one can considered a pet in an anime, but that type of animal may not be a pet in another case.
Besides, I trust that most of you can tell if one should be considered as a pet or not

Baka Inu (Zero no Tsukaima)
