Also, seeing someone of non-Japanese, let alone Canadian, descent sing Japanese songs makes me think I could've possibly done that if I had discovered anime (or Japanese culture in general) earlier in my life and pursued a singing career. Oh well...

I actually own this series on DVD. Bought this several years ago as a special boxset that came with a couple of decorative pins. It cost $149.95.... So I was quite annoyed when an Anime Legends re-release (without the pins) came out a few years later at less than one-third of the cost.... Oh well. A good series to be sure, to say nothing about these themes. I like both and depending on my mood, I could choose either one. Right now, I'm feeling "Shell" a little bit more.

never watched the anime, so i dont really know the theme of the anime. But i like the ED more.

By all means check it out on MAL and then see if you can still find it. I wouldn't wait long, though. Ever since Bandai closed its online store and stopped licensing new series, I get the feeling that they're only going to support the series they still have until those licenses expire. For instance, Bandai let the license for Scrapped Princess (one of my favorite series) expire last year and didn't renew it.

In fact, can you add that one to the queue, superu? Its themes are a little different from the usual fare (given that it's a fantasy-themed series), and it'd be interesting to see what everyone thought of them.
