Shit results

Congratz Kuroneko!

Kuroneko, Taiga, Yuki and Eucliwood performed as I expected. I'm quite surprised with Saber. I honestly expected her to be a bit below the others. This is good, since I think Saber deserves a necklace. Shana was the one who surprised me the most this match though. I honestly expected Taiga to get more votes than her. She even beat Eucliwood and Yuki. This probably cost Taiga the necklace as well though.

There are two possibilities which can explain this sudden increase of votes for Shana:
1) It wasn't Taiga but Tenshi who stole most of Shana's votes during the Aquamarine necklace match.
2) The Shana fans might have tried to get Shana the Amethyst necklace even if her chances were very low, since she doesn't have that one in her collection yet, and the Shana/Taiga fans sacrificed Taiga for it.

I believe that Tenshi stole some votes from Shana, but Tenshi steals votes from anyone. She's just that strong. I don't think Tenshi stole so much more votes from Shana than from Taiga and the others. If it really was Tenshi stealing away Shana's votes though, then I fear that both Shana and Taiga will have real trouble getting a necklace.

But I think (and hope) it's number 2 mostly. The Shana fans might fear that she'll lose Topaz to someone (just as she nearly lost Ruby last year) and at least tried to get Amethyst. If this is the case, then Taiga might have a chance to get a necklace before Topaz, since the Shana/Taiga fans will probably prefer Taiga again during the next necklace match (if they're both in it), since Shana already has ruby. One would think that the Shana fans are smart and help Taiga to get a necklace before Topaz to increase Shana's chances at winning Topaz though.

As for the other results. I was hoping that Holo or Fear and Ayu would win. I didn't really care about the other matches.

After a fairly lackluster Aquamarine period, Victorique bounces back quite a bit in Amethyst. She's still weaker than she used to be but is on pace to safely make the Top 16 of Nova. The other character to look good in Amethsyt was Nagato Yuki. She worked hard to improve throughout Amethyst and even managed to beat Mikoto at the end. If Yuki can keep up this performance in the following period, she might be able to reach second place in Stella. Yui-nyan has slowly managed to close to gap between her and Kuroneko. It'll be tough but Yui might have a shot at beating Kuroneko in the future.

Mizuki had a lot of trouble performing as well as she used to and to a lesser extent so did Minami. Shouko still looked okay but the BakaTest characters may be on the decline.

Taiga and Kanade still sit atop of their respective pyramids. Kanade isn't going anywhere but I wonder if Taiga can remain on top when she faces more of the other top tiers. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing if she can beat Shana.

I doubt Taiga can pull it of either which is why I'm looking forward to the match. I want to see if Taiga can somehow defy my expectations for the match.

Well, I'm still hoping for that as well. But if she continues to do this well it might actually be possible. Plus I Amethyst doesn't fit her that much so it's fine if she wins it later on.
