well, 90% of the contestants no longer has a shot at the Sapphire as of now, so Let's look forward to the next necklace period. Who do you want to win the Emerald. For me, it is Sakagami Tomoyo.

I'll reassess the situation later but right now my plan is to sit back and watch Shana win the necklace since I'm not going to get anything else. <_< I suppose Yuki Misaka does have a chance... if she can beat Hinagiku Mio which isn't going to happen. >_>

Just like against Shana, I'll take a what if approach if Mikoto pulls an upset against Mio. Not likely but if Mio is still unbeaten when they face each other......

Mio 6*3=18
Tsukasa 2*3=6
Yui 6*3=18
Fuko 2*3=6
Kotomi 3*3=9
Nymph 1*3=3
Mafuyu 5*3=15
SDO is 75 (or 78 with a Kotomi upset)

Well, if something really incredible happens and Sakagami Tomoyo beats Akiyama Mio in the Emerald 1, perhaps that will encourage Mikoto supporters or discourage Mio supporters enough so Mikoto can beat Mio.

Well if you think a miracle can happen, it is possible for Shana to not win the necklace. Your suggested scenario it a pretty roundabout way of doing it, though. Tomoyo beating Mio is an even bigger upset than Misaka over Mio and you need to still hope for another miracle for Misaka to beat Mio. It's more likely for there to just be one miracle upset. Something like Misaka beating Mio or Shana losing to Azusa.

fuck this....if Shana wins emerald then she will lose to Hinagiku....100% guaranteed, and thats the least I want since beating Hinagiku and breaking their 3-3 tie is pretty much my biggest motivation to follow ISML atm

Saber could be a tough opponent for Kyou. However,that match along with Hitagi and Haruhi could be within Kyou's range along with other winnable matches to a point where she has a chance to go 7-0 in Diamond. Her problem of getting Diamond though is going to be Mihoko.

I think the only possibility that Shana losing the Emerald necklace is she losing to Azusa.

Short of fighting herself, there's no such thing as Shana being 100% guaranteed to lose a one on one match. Also Hinagiku will being going into that match undefeated and as the current reigning champion. Shana is not going to be the one getting anti-votes for being too successful. At the very least voters who anti-vote characters who are too successful will be split. Shana doesn't looks like she's going to be in the running to win the Ruby necklace so there's no need to anti-vote Shana to prevent Shana from winning 3 necklaces in a row. Shana is really strong, you should have a bit more faith in her ability.

For all the arguing going on in this thread (and similar ones for the other necklaces), the thread is 'who do you want for Emerald', not 'who do you think statically has the best chance of winning Emerald'.
It's in the thread name that wishful thinking is allowed.

That being said, It'd be interesting to see Azusa Nakano winning the Emerald. Usually cat's eyes are said to be green, even if her's aren't.

I'd like an Azusa necklace more than most, but I don't really see it happening. Shana seems almost given, as upsets from Hitagi or Kyou would be even more unlikely. Probably the best case to beat Shana is someone like Haruhi, if she can manage to beat Taiga.
